Fantasy and Romance with and without magic

Divorced, Desperate and Deceived by Christie Craig. The last of her D,D and D series. A fun read with some real laugh until you cry parts. I especially liked one of the minor (sometimes) characters named Joey.

DreamDark: Silksinger by Laini Taylor
. A YA fantasy. Second in a series.Has two new hero/heroines as well as the return of the crew from the first book.

Me and My Shadow by Katie MacAliste
r. Another of her silver dragons book. A fun read but definitely adult in nature. No, its not that racy, just more mature than the DreamDark books.

Red's Hot Honky-Tonk Bar by Pamela Morsi
. This book isn't precisely Christmas themed but does cover the season near the end of its timeline. The Red of the title is nobodies idea of a grand mother. But she is one and finds herself unexpectedly responsible for her daughter's two kids. It is definitely a learning experience for everybody. A very good book.

High Tea and Lattes

Royal Flush by Rhys Bowen. An interesting mystery set in the early 1930's starring Lady Georgianna, daughter and sister of a Duke, great grand daughter of Victoria and 34th on line for the throne. She's also flat broke. Lady Georgianna has a habit of getting entangled in murderous plots. Now she is trying to figure out whether the accidents happening to her royal cousins are really accidents. A fun read with a cameo appearance by the future Queen Elizabeth.

Another Coffeehouse mystery, Holiday Grind by Cleo Coyle. A good story even if your not that into gourmet coffee. If you are there's more than 80 pages of coffee related recipes in the back of the book. The heroine wouldn't be amused by my use of single serve coffee bags.
